PA28 Albert Bridge

This was originally a toll bridge. The booths remain at either end of the bridge. It has had a rather unsuccessful history having had to be modified 3 times ,most recently in 1973 by adding concrete piers, transforming it from a suspension bridge to a simple beam Bridge. Under constant threat of demolition it remains. Having a makeover in the 90’s with a nice pink coat of paint and lots and lots of bulbs later ( 4000).

It continues to connect Chelsea  to Battersea  Park today.
